Happy Easter Nails!

Hi sweeties!

Here I'm back for news! Happy Easter everybody!!
This morning, I was at church, like usual, and I was in a very good happy mood because of it, it was so exciting!! And everybody noticed my bright yellow nail polish... *yeay!*
So i decided to give it a twist. I went to www.beautylish.com and I saw the picture of Kayleigh K. It was a very cute nail design with birds and stuff. Go to her page if you want! http://www.beautylish.com/profile/avvxg. Here is my rendition to her design:

I hope you like it! It was actually pretty easy to do! Ask me if you want me to explain to you the whole process :)
Happy Easter and have a great day!

Summer's already here!

Today I had 5h30 free at university... Which is a very long time when you got NOTHING to do. But it was a hot and sunny day, so we went to the park with two friends of mine. We ate there, spent a really good time. I got very sensible light eyes, and hopefully I had brought my sunglasses! But 5 hours later, when we got in the class builing, under this different light, a friend turned her head, looking at me and suddenly said "OH MY GOSH, YOU'RE SO BURNED!!". And she was quite right... I didn't think I was gonna get that red... I had taken my sweater off etc and was only wearing a tank top and my jeans... So I got red all over my chest, nose and forhead... GREAT. This picture was taken more than 5hours later my burnt, so it had a little bit faded already but as you can see, I am pretty damn red! I usually am so white-ish..!

So, here we go! I decided to get my after-sun bottle out! Which is my Aftersun Ecran one: I love it!!

I've used it for so many years, in Spain, during my usual 2 weeks at the beach. I get very easily burnt (as you can tell from the pic above --') and I never get this golden glow... Having red understoned skin, I actually get more reddish-brown than golden-brown, which I don't really like but I guess it's okay though. These bottles have saved my life loads of times! Hydrating after bronzing is SO important! It will help your skin to retain the color produced by the melanine thank to the sun, and it will prevent your skin from feeling itchy and damaged. Or worst...: STRIP SKIN. I hate this... But an hydrating cream will help you with that is a very few days. You also should drink loads of water when going to a hot place such as the beach... Always bring a big bottle of water in your bag. My trick? Fill your bottle (but not to the very top!) and put it in your freezer for the night. On the morning, going to the beach, get it out and take it with you. You'll have colder water for a bit longest time! And never EVER forget sunscreen, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY ARE BRONZED!! SPF prevents your skin from damaged, and even if you feel you don't need it, your skin, bronzed or not, is still sensible to UV! So just put sunscreen and stop pretending you have a better skin or that you just don't need it: of COURSE you DO!

So yeah, I do recommend this product, it is absolutely amazing and I have never found a better aftersun cream that this one... It is so smooth and fresh and it smells yummy! And you got for the whole holidays, the bottle is quite big!

Browns and pinks - smokey

Here's a smokey-pinkish-brown eyes guys, hope you like it!

STEPS:

1. Apply you moisturizer, and your primer.
2. Apply your foundation. Mine is MUFE HD foundation in n°135.
3. Apply your concealer if needed. I did not apply any though I should have... I usually use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.
4. Apply a pink(or orange)-based brown eyeshadow all over the lid with a flat brush.
5. Apply a chocolate brown eyeshadow on your outter corner and in your socket with a fluffy brush. Extend it a bit over your bone.
6. Apply a light goldish eyeshadow to highlight your inner corners.
7. Apply these three colors on your lower lashline: gold (inner corners), pink-base brown (center) and chocolate brown (outter corners --> Join with the top brown shadow!)
8. Draw a very thin line of liquid liner very close to your top lashline.
9. Apply black liner on your lower waterline and set it with black power.
10. Apply a soft pink blush and moisturize your lips with a tinted lip balm.

You're done!
Hope you like the look.
If you want to turn it into a "night-look", swip off the tinted balm and apply a dark pink lipstick or a nude one. For lids, add dimension by apply a bit of black eyeshadow to redefine your eyes (apply it to you very outter corners, the socket and under your outter lower lashes).

See you soon!

I KNOW KONY!!! PASS THE WORD!!

JOSEPH KONY forced children to kill their parents or siblings with machetes or blunt tools. He abducted girls to be sex slaves for his officers. He brainwashed and indoctrinated the children with his lies and manipulated them with his claim of spiritual powers. KONY and the LRA abducted more than 30,000 children in northern Uganda. JOSEPH KONY IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S WORST WAR CRIMINALS.

Back!

Aaaand I AM BACK IN BUSINESS! Yeeeayyy!!

I am so sorry I have been so not here on the last weeks... well almost 2 months... SOOOORRRY!! Okay so I had a lot of exams and I wasn't very okay, so, yeah, whatever, the important thing is that now I'm back :)

So here is a look I didn't had a chance to post on here before leaving! Hope you like it!

TUTORIAL:

1. Do your face as usual: base, foundation in circular motion to make the pore invisible, concealer. Do your brows as normal.

2. Apply a light grey eyeshadow on your eyelid and crease. Apply a darker grey on top, but only on the eyelid. Blend it all very well.

3. Apply highlight (a white shadow will be perfect) under the arch of your brows and your inner corners.

4. Apply blush and bronzer in a "3" shape.

5. Apply a pink lip pencil and a pink lip lipstick. Mine are from Dior (one of my birthday present!)

6. Apply a highlighter on your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose, it will make your complexion more growy and brighter!

7. Set everything with a matifying translucent powder. I especially love the one by MakeUpForEver.

And your done! See how easy it was? Tell me if you try it out. I love doing this look for university, or church. It is very simple and elegant at the same time for a young adult. hope you like it.

See you soon!

Lots of  love,

Angelina Jolie inspired look (darker than her)

Hi my lovelies!

Today's look is an Angelina Jolie look. I learnt the look thanks to Sam from Pixiwoo. I thought the look was fabulous, so it inspired me for an other look very similar but darker, hope you like it!

I got a lot of compliments on it, so finally decided to do a tutorial of it...

TUTORIAL:

1) Apply your foundation (mine is "Hydrating & Smoothing Foundation" by Sephora), concealer ("Fit Me!" by Maybelline) and apply an eye primer (Too Faced). Powder your face is necessary. And do your brows (sorry, I don't need to do mine!)

2) Apply a thick line of any black khôl pencil you ave and smudge it up to your crease.

3) Apply a black, grey or brown eyeshadow (as you prefer) on your eyelid, over the black pencil and blend it almost up to your brows.

4) Apply your eye liner (liquid, cake or gel) on about the last 1/3 of your lid without making a thick line! You don't want roundness, you want feline-ess! And the wing won't be very long either, just enough to give a direction to your line.

5) Apply black eyeshadow on your lower lashline.

6) Apply mascara (mine is by MaxFactor) brushing your lashes with and "outside direction". Do the same on your bottom lashes, without giving them any volume.

7) Line your lips with a pinkish lipliner and apply your pink lipsticl (mine are by Dior).

8) Countour you face and apply your blush.

And you're ready to go!!

Hope you line it :) See ya soon!
Bybye!
Your GodMother Sarah
